This is a feature release built around one addition: jump host support. If a server sits behind a bastion, termique can now connect through it directly, and sharing that server with someone else carries the bastion along automatically. The release also cleans up the app’s layout and refreshes the unlock screen.
Features
- Connect through a jump host (bastion): set one on a host and termique tunnels through it automatically, with a live indicator once the chain connects
- Sharing a host that uses a jump host now bundles the whole chain into the invite, so the recipient doesn’t have to configure the bastion themselves
- Decide whether a shared jump host is directly connectable or stays hidden as a tunnel-only hop, and change that any time after sending the invite
- Collapse the sidebar to an icon-only rail to get more room for your terminal
- The unlock screen now opens on an animated spiral galaxy
The bastion indicator only appears once the whole chain is actually connected, so it reflects a real connection, not just what’s in your host configuration.
Improvements
- Content pages dropped their decorative background for a cleaner look, with tighter padding
- The sidebar now floats with a corner radius matching the window
- macOS’s traffic-light buttons are recolored to match termique’s accent colors
Bug fixes
- Fixed an error message that could reveal a hidden bastion’s real address when a connection through it failed or its host key changed
- Fixed the app occasionally hanging on startup
If you keep a shared jump host hidden, this fix makes sure a connection error never slips out its real address – the whole point of keeping it hidden.
Update to get jump host support and the cleaner layout. Deeper jump-host sharing options are planned for a future release.
